Education is for all
Education is the passport to every child and young person’s future, and at Emezzions Children Services, we regard it as a pivotal part of our work.
We are committed to ensuring that every child and young person in our care has the best opportunities possible to achieve their full potential. This commitment is not only rooted in academic attainment, but in experiential learning, vocational education, and cultural and artistic development.
Services We Provide
Emezzions Children Services provide a therapeutic educational framework that promotes emotional growth alongside academic success, and so encourages holistic child development.
This demands an exceptional team, and we are proud of the insight, skills and experience that our staff bring to ensuring that every young person can achieve and grow to the full. As a service we expose them to, and encourage, educational opportunities of all kinds, equipping them to make a successful transition into further education, employment or training.
Types of education with Emezzions Children Services
What role does education play in helping children?
Our education services play a fundamental role in helping young people recover from traumatic adverse childhood experiences.
Our therapeutic approach is based on building trust and relationships – the vital foundations for learning. Our teams and facilities provide warm and consistent environments where pupils develop positive behaviour, using effective techniques supported by our clinical team. Achieving self-esteem is the first step towards making progress in learning.
Whether an in-house facility in a residential unit, an outreach service in a community setting, or an independent specialist school, all our education services provide the same level of individual planning and learning for each child.
We work with children and young people to recognise and set their own goals and celebrate every milestone to success along the way.
We have a specialist programme, 1 ACE, that offers access to therapeutic, holistic and Special Educational Needs provision.
We aim to achieve
Through our independent schools, we aim to provide young people with a steadfast education to:
- Provide a well-ordered, positive and supportive environment where each child has the opportunity to flourish and succeed – whatever their talents or abilities.
- Promote high expectations of standards of work, conduct and appearance.
- Encourage participation in a caring and supportive community, founded on mutual respect.
- Sustain an ethos which enables students to develop into mature, independent citizens, equipped to make their contribution to a rapidly changing world.
- Establish a safe environment in which to develop positive behaviour, thus raising self-esteem.
- Encourage students to respect British values, set by the Government and used in the Independent School Standards.
