Supported Contact:
- There is no close observation, monitoring or evaluation of individual contacts/conversations however Staff and volunteers are available for assistance.
- Either a family or several families can be together in one or some of the rooms.
- Families are encouraged to develop mutual trust, respect and consider this contact as a satisfactory family venue.
- There is no detailed report completed to a referrer except for the attendance dates and times.
Escorted Contact:
The child and non-resident parent are accompanied on visits to places such as local parks and shops. However, escorted contact is classified as supervised contact and report are provided.
Community Contact:
This can be used when a family has used our centre on three or four occasions. This contact can then be arranged for the family to go out in the community rather than the contact centre. The contact arrangement is made before the session and this may include parents’ homes. Reports are provided for this contact
Handover:
The Handover services enable a secure and safe handover of children from Residential adult to Non Residential adult. Our fully trained member of staff with help and support in the handover of the child from one to the other. This is to ensure that the parties do not meet during this service and also ensure that there is no breach of a court order if one is in place. Our centre can be used for a short period as a drop-off / pick up point for a child/children.
Outreach Community Support Workers
We can provide community-based activities including swimming, bowling, visiting the park for mainstream and special educational needs children.
Family Mediation
Alternative resolution dispute service for adults when separating and/or going through a divorce.
Daycare
Look after children in our contact rooms while parents attend training courses.
